Did you know that today is sysadmin day?
I’m coding it up in June.
Today I finally finished a barebones prototype of the model I’ve been working on for the last few days. I was getting really stuck while trying to work from someone else’s code, and eventually decided it would be much faster to first cut out all the parts I didn’t fully understand then go on from there. That way I could at least get it working in a minimalistic fashion right away, and add features back in piece by piece. The best part about doing it this way is that now I know what’s going on with every section, and my comments are nice and neat so everything makes sense, at least to me. It’s not much in the whole scheme of things, but it feels like big progress!
I just watched the Connie Lim Band play in Los Angeles. GO Connie!

GOooOOoo Connie!!!
Last night I went to watch Connie Lim perform at the Viper Room. I had a great time even though it was completely packed in there – I had to watch by craning my head through the doorway. This was the first time I’ve seen her perform live, I hope I get to go again soon!
As a bonus, several other people from Peninsula High were hanging around after the show, and I got to see my old friends Andy and Chris before heading home. (needed to wake up early for work) I’m grateful to Connie for having these shows because they are a great opportunity to see people I normally wouldn’t get to see if I was just going to work every day like normal. Thanks Connie!
If you’ve read this far, why not have a look at Connie’s myspace music page?
Gabi sent me this e-card to celebrate my first day at work!

My next stop is the Google I/O Conference in San Francisco.
Going to be in San Francisco with my dad until Saturday for Google’s sold out Developer’s Conference. Have to wake up early and choose what panels to go to tomorrow morning. I hope they let me in without my student id, lost it during 2nd year at UCSD. And hopefully I’ll get to see Dwayne and Mike at Podiatry School later in the week!
